Riding the momentum of the bestselling Jailhouse Strong series, Josh Bryant and Adam benShea return to share a unique story about mentorship, legacy, and tradition. Told from the authors’ point of view, the reader is introduced to the world of the fabled Tijuana Barbell Club, its unforgettable characters, and its distinctive method of muscle building. A collection of groundbreaking strength training methods are woven inside of a personal narrative about the golden age of physical culture at the Tijuana Barbell Club in Old Mexico.
During their pursuit of high school athletic glory, the authors trained at a local gym. While working out, they meet a mysterious old lifter with a rich story to share and a legacy to be passed along. Through an ongoing dialogue, the stranger becomes a mentor and tells them about the training system utilized by the legendary group of bouncers and strongmen of the Tijuana Barbell Club.
Each conversation reveals another segment of the lost art of physical culture from Old Mexico. This includes Wave Loading Programs, intervals specific to bar fighting, the introduction of the rigorous Seven Day Shock Method, and many other unique training protocols.
The Saga of the Tijuana Barbell Club brings you into a forgotten history of strength and dispenses lessons on lifting and living which will serve you in the gym, on the street, and throughout your journey.
The Saga of the Tijuana Barbell Club edition by Josh Bryant Adam benShea Health Fitness Dieting eBooks
Great story telling, time flies when you read the chapters through. Getting new ideas to your training is never a bad thing, as nowadays you see at your gym how so many people are wasting their time on useless stuff. Book offers good information, if you have been spending time under the barbell for 20 years maybe you just want a reminder how things were before. I get inspired so much by the stories from this book.Maybe the coolest thing was that as I did read through the book and started to have questions about routines. I decided to contact Josh with email and he did answer to my questions and it did happen fast. How many times I have seen people say "yeah contact to support if you have problems or questions", and then I contact them and nothing happens. But with Josh this was so easy, he only doesn't share the knowledge, he wants to be sure that you understand it too.
I would recommend this book to everyone, literally everyone. Fot those who seek the right way to go, those who want to supercharge their training without any useless equipment, for those who really love the basics like I do, just barbell, dumbbells, dip/chin-stand, some plates and chain so I can hang the weight on my waist. For those who really look up to big and strong guys, the old school lifters who did first do physical job and then lift the weights, I bet they never talked about their macros or should they do HIIT or jogging.
Look in to the mirror, think what you want to be. Do you want to be remembered as a strong man or weak and small? Fix your mentality and be a man. Think this book as an investment for better future, because that is what you will get if you stay on the right path and WORK HARD.

The Saga of the Tijuana Barbell Club edition by Josh Bryant Adam benShea Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
I own every book Josh has put out and this format is a little different yet incredibly entertaining and extremely informative. The characters bring this legend to life while presenting extremely intense techniques to the reader. Worth every penny and then some.
It doesn't take much to make great strength and size gains. Josh Bryant shows that with another instant classic.
A barbell and the will to succeed is all you need, as this book highlights.
Through adjusting rep, set, and rest ranges you can use simple movements with minimal equipment to achieve your goals, whatever those are.
Great combination of antidotal and scientific packed into a compelling narrative.
A great practical manual with numerous programs on how to train to get bigger and stronger. Josh and Adam are entertaining writers who have a passion for getting their message on how to optimize your physical culture pursuits. I recommend this book to anyone stating strength training to the most advanced trainees who seek variety and an old school work ethic in their training.
I'm a mark for Josh's writing. Tijuana is wrtitten in a conversational style that i really like. Great training ideas that are very easy to follow. Definitely worth getting.
I have been training for a long time and after finding Josh and Adam's Jailhouse Strong book and now The Saga of the Tijuana Barbell Club, my strength and size gains have gone through the roof. I recommend this to anyone looking to gain knowledge on training and how to improve their workouts and their body's!
Typical great quality content from this team. I have all the books Josh B and his partners published to date and love them all. This book has some great stories, great lessons, and of course, great routine programming. I love that the authors give programming percentages to use in much of their material. This makes progression a no brainer for those trainees unsure of how much weight to use and how to progress.
I stumbled on to Josh Bryant around 3 years ago when I was 22 since that time I have purchased all his books and always look at his YouTube channel. This book is amazing because it incoportes phenomenal training methods with a story about the development of some teenage boys which I love because I do believe the two go hand in hand. I love the way Josh writes as he is incrediblely throw back and hard nosed yet very intelligent in regards to training. His choice of words is superb as he articulates both training and the story i such a way that makes it seem like a movie is going on in your head. Lastly, I will forever be thankful for the passion Josh puts into all his work it's contagious. I look forward to meeting him one day and talking life and training. Through his work he has been a mentor to me from Texas all the way to Los Angeles.
